Vincent: how to romance them in Soulless

A route you can barely spend on

Three steps in one season is a small route — the game gives you 2 of them for free, which is 67% of the way. The only paid stop sits in Season 1, Episode 8: "Sneak a peek." for 21 diamonds. That's also the most expensive choice on the route, because there's nothing to compete with.

Where it starts and where it costs you

It opens in Season 1, Episode 3 with the free answer "Is that a compliment?" A second free step comes in Season 1, Episode 5 — "What if I just love bothering you?" Between them you pay nothing. Then the route asks you for diamonds once, and the decision is easy: if you want the continuation, Season 1, Episode 8 is the place where the money goes.

Free route, or is 21 worth it?

You can take 2 of 3 steps without diamonds, so the route doesn't drag you into spending. But skipping Episode 8 means cutting the branch short at its climax. Check your budget first — and remember that Threxio and Walter are also around in Soulless, so 21 diamonds on Vincent is only part of what a full romance playthrough might take.
