Verdict: almost Declan's price, more concentrated
Fabian costs 362 diamonds, 22 less than Declan's 384 and well above Xavier's 219. Five of his 13 steps are free. The difference from Declan is where the cost lands: Episodes 9 and 13 together are 241 diamonds.
Where the diamonds go
The route starts in Episode 3 with "Lean against him." for 20 and a free "He's not so bad." Episode 4 has two free steps and "Hold his hand tenderly and find out what happened." for 49. Episode 5 adds "I'll ride with you, Fabian. Let's shut this bastard up." for 52.
The two big episodes:
- Episode 9, My Papa's Waltz: five steps, two free, plus 18, 31 and "Take his hand and lean against him" for 56.
- Episode 13, Lady Lazarus: "Send me a picture. Right now." and "Remember the night you wrote about Fabian." — 68 each.
How I'd play it
Pay Episodes 3 to 5 as they come. Episodes 9 and 13 are the ones I'd keep on separate save slots for Diamond Rush. Episode 5's 52-diamond step is shared with Xavier, so if you haven't picked yet, save before it. Waterlily is still coming out. Compare with Declan and Xavier.
