Where the romance starts

Renato's route opens early in Season 1, Episode 8 with a free option: "Thank Renato for his help." You can also ask one last question for 45 diamonds right after, but the next free step is in Episode 11 ("Thanks for making a fire"), so you get breathing room. The first paid step is only 23 diamonds in Episode 10 ("Call Renato"), which is cheap enough to take without much thought.

Where diamonds decide it

The heavy spending kicks in from Season 2. Five options cost 50 or more, with the top three at 77 (Season 3, Episode 2 — "Must stay"), 70 (Season 2, Episode 11 — "Trust you"), and 70 (Season 3, Episode 3 — "Yes, please"). Another 68 goes to "I want to get married" in Season 3, Episode 5. If you are short on diamonds, these are the steps to consider skipping — but they are also where the route likely branches.

Can you do it for free?

Partly. You can reach 11 free steps across three seasons, enough to keep the romance going, but you will miss 13 paid moments — including every major milestone from Season 2 onward. To see the whole route, budget 545 diamonds. A middle path: take the cheap early calls (23–45) and save for one or two big scenes rather than all of them.
